Roni Loren wrote her first romance novel at age fifteen when she discovered writing about boys was way easier than actually talking to them. Since then, her flirting skills haven’t improved, but she likes to think her storytelling ability has. After earning a B.S. in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from LSU, she counseled teens in a mental health hospital, worked with birthmothers as an adoption coordinator, and did management recruiting in her PJs. But she always returned to writing.
Over the last decade, she has penned more than twenty-five contemporary romances and has experienced both traditional publishing (a lot) and indie publishing (a little.) She also teaches online courses that have helped hundreds of students on their writing journey.
The joy of teaching writers and her experience with how CliftonStrengths enriched her own life led her to become a Gallup-Certified Strengths coach. As a coach, you can expect her to provide an empathetic ear, a tailored approach…and, yeah, maybe some homework because man, does she love an assignment.
Roni lives in North Texas with her husband, son, and a headstrong Maltipoo named Leonard. If she’s not working on her latest story or teaching a class, you can find her cooking, reading, or rearranging her bookshelves just one more time. She is a two-time RITA Award winner and five-time nominee, a HOLT Medallion winner, and a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author.
