Developmental Editor, Coach, and Author
Susan Bischoff is a Gallup-Certified Strength Coach, specializing in writer development, and a freelance editor with a special interest in Romance, in all its many sub-genres, niches, and forms. She loves the intricacies of all types of relationships: friends, families, lovers, rivalries, and obsessions. She has a particular interest in the character journey, the emotional experiences that characters inspire in each other, as well as the emotional experience a book inspires in a reader.
Like many who identify as a Myers-Briggs INFP, she’s a little obsessed with self-awareness and authenticity and believes that alignment is one of the big keys to peace, happiness, and productivity. This is one of the reasons she chose to move into the coaching arena and become a certified CliftonStrengths coach. She’s very fond of saying, “When you make art out of who you are, it’s important to know who you are.”
When she’s not working with writers, she’s probably working on one of her learning obsessions–or watching Firefly. Other addictions include tea, YouTube planner videos, and ‘ship-based fan fiction. Please forgive in advance her penchant for obsessively quoting everything from Pride and Prejudice, to 80s movies, to song lyrics. She’ll swear it made sense in her head.
