What is "microcoaching"?
Microcoaching is LIVE on Zoom group coaching offered on our Microcoaching Level on the Patreon Channel. Subscribers at that level and above have the opportunity to sign up for a time slot with the coach of their choice for a 10-minute coaching session on a group call.
I haven't taken a class... can I still sign up for coaching?
Yes, definitely! The Patreon Channel is a great place to start as an introduction, and you can sign up with a coach on an individual level, or you can sign up on the “Microcoaching” level without having done anything of ours in the past.
How do I schedule a call with one of the coaches?
If you’re looking to schedule a session with one of the coaches, you can:
- subscribe to their Patreon coaching level or
- contact us at manager@betterfasteracademy.com to purchase a session.
What do I need to do to prepare for the coaching call?
Be sure you have your Strengths assessment results handy and ready to share with your coach. Be in a quiet place with the least amount of distractions possible. Have something available to take notes.
What is the YOUNGEST recommended age for the Strengths test?
There is a “student” test for ages 10-14 and after that, we encourage taking the test at 15. But also, because brains are still extremely plastic, we always encourage caution when making assumptions about test results for people under 24. Brains can change a lot (especially with development) when we are under 24 years old.

What is Patreon?
The Patreon Channel is located at www.patreon.com/beccasyme and is the main hub for ALL THE THINGS that happen within the BFA. Depending on the level of subscription you choose, members have access to blog posts, The Office, microcoaching sessions with the staff coaches, topical LIVE calls with Becca, private monthly coaching, and more. Patrons get announcements first and first chances at beta-ing new workshops, cohorts, and classes. It’s the place to be! (Plus you can follow for free to check it out.)
What is the Office?
The Office is a 24-hour Zoom room dedicated to co-working. The Office is a place where we can write together and use a bit of social pressure (without reporting word counts) to help us get into the manuscript when we want.
Access to the Office is available through our Patreon for anyone on the Quitcast Office tier or above.
What is Discord?
Don’t want to be on Zoom for sprints? We have a great community on Discord that you can join for free and find others who also prefer a more chat-room-type experience with sprints.

What are the BFA Forums?
The BFA Forums are housed on the Better-Faster Academy website. They are private chat boards dedicated to each individual strength where alumni from any of the BFA workshops, cohorts, and intensives can request membership and be added to the boards for their Top 10 Strengths and chat with other members.
