Ok, some of you will really not vibe with this, so absolutely, nope out if you want. But. Some of you need to question the premise of setting “achievable” goals.
Look.
Bottom line, some of us are made to need goals that are achievable, and some of us aren’t. Some of us need to set what most would consider to be “unachievable” goals because that’s how they motivate themselves. Not accomplishing the goals will not keep us from setting high goals in the future.
When you are a person who will be de-motivated by not hitting goals you set (which is reasonable, just not universal), setting achievable goals is of massive import.
When not hitting goals will not keep you from setting goals again, and will not keep you from wanting to achieve, then ignore the advice to set achievable goals.
For some of us, we will accomplish more by setting unachievable goals than we will setting achievable goals. And the reason we set goals is to help us accomplish things (if we are goal-setters which… I’m still going to write about this in the future…)
Just your friendly neighborhood Becca popping by to say, please question the premise when it doesn’t align.
Love y’all.
