Subscription fatigue. (On a call with a bunch of creators and we’re talking about this.) I feel like we don’t talk enough about the way consumers are fatigued right now.
We’re gonna talk about this more in the upcoming months, but sometimes it helps to have a word for what it is that we’re feeling.
I’ve been culling my own subscriptions lately, and I know we will be the place that gets culled at some point for some people, and I know that’s what’s best for people when they choose it. But wow, we need to think about this.
How do we create content for people that is so life-changing, they can’t stop coming back for more? That’s the question we’ve been asking for the last several years, and are continuing to try to answer that question.
I don’t think enough people are talking about this.
Content is just not a volume game. It’s a quality game. This is going to be more and more important as sub-fatigue gets more aggressive.
Great content is care.
