I’m gonna be mean for just a second, and I apologize for how hard I’m coming for some of you.
If you want to be more productive, and you have any of these Strengths [Strategic, Input, Adaptability, Empathy, Harmony, Positivity, Learner, Futuristic, Intellection, Analytical, Context, Relator, Included, Woo, Communication], here is how you do it.
Don’t. Go. On. Social. Media. First. Thing. In. The. Morning.
And stay off it for as long as you can during the day. Anything you can do to limit your social media, throughout the entire day, do it. (Including leaving it as soon as you become aware you’ve come to it.)
Honestly. Y’all. Most of us don’t need systems to be productive. We need to cut off our dopamine addiction. The above Strengths have a higher susceptibility to this addiction. Please. Just try it.
You have a tiny dopamine addict in your brain telling you, “you can do this really quick” and “it’s not a big deal, you’re not doing anything else,” and “you’ll still get your writing done,” and all manner of lies to get you to give it the thing it wants because it thinks it needs the dopamine to SURVIVE, y’all.
Sorry for yelling. I’m just struggling to impart how important this is. Just experiment. Give it a try.
Yes, it will hurt. But if you actually want to be more productive, please just try it. And if that doesn’t work, come to our live public coaching and we will help troubleshoot.
