The most common advice we give in our Write Better-Faster course (which thousands of writers have taken) that gets people the most writing improvement…
Real quick is a lie.
Stop using social media “real quick” in the morning. Don’t start your day with social media. In fact, wait as long as you can in the day before you get on social media.
It’s amazing how much difference that one change can make. And we resist it. Or we do it for awhile and then get out of the habit of it, and never come back.
Next week, I’m hoping to get the “detox” lesson out in the Author4Life library, for this reason exactly. It is something we all need reminding about, constantly, when we spend a lot of time here. We do not have the kind of control we think we have over our social media use.
And the usage impacts so many parts of our internal systems.
Just a thought for the day.
